UNWTO Meeting on Crisis Communications and Social Media

The World Tourism Organization organized a half day brainstorming session in April 2010 in Washington D.C. to discuss and strategize how social media can help mitigate the negative effects of a crisis and influence safe behaviour by travellers. The results of the session are factored into a practical online and print manual, Crisis Communications Toolbox: Checklists and Best Practices, currently under development by UNWTO.
